Kirsten Vangsness has worked as an American actor since the early 1990s. Her most notable role was as Penelope Garcia, in the popular police procedural crime show Criminal Minds. Kirsten Vangsness played Penelope Garcia on the TV show Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, and in two of its spin-offs: Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour. The majority of her work is as a TV actress, however she's had a few minor film roles since her showbiz debut in 1998. Alongside her notable films, Ms. Williams has also appeared in such films as "In My Bed", The Chicago 8 as well as Kill Me, Deadly. She's also a playwright and co-wrote three episodes for Criminal Minds. She's rescued and helped rehabilitate several abandoned and injured kittens.
